TCU, Texas Turkeys of 2012

**Runners Up**-Casey Pachall and Case McCoy's dermatologists. TCU's turnovers. Texas' kickers.

Texas Turkey-Mack Brown and Manny Diaz

Not gonna lie, this is kinda sexy...
When Mack Brown isn't busy making painfully unfunny ESPN/Longhorn Network commercials, he sometimes is paid for his other job, head football coach. With a pool of talent that would make any coach in the country wetter than a 40 year old cougar reading 50 Shades of Grey, Mack Brown has basically taken an Aston Martin and treated it like it was a '93 Honda Civic. Yet everyone seems too afraid to force Mack out. Using a similar analogy, Mack is the '93 Honda Civic that used to be your grandmother's before she died. She had it for years and you're just too sentimental to let it go. But sometimes you just got to. Some may not agree, but I think Texas is a Chris Peterson or Kirby Smart away from being a top 5 team year in and year out.

Not saying you have to kick Mack to 35 with his thumb in the wind, but force Dodds to retire and make Mack AD. Talk about something William Mack Brown was meant to do and would greatly excel at. I just don't see Mack coaching as long as someone like Bill Snyder. I would've said Joe Paterno, but the Penn State thing is still a little touchy. (zing).

And then there's Manny Diaz. Or the Latino version of Lane Kiffin. I'm sure Manny's a great guy, but he's far from a Muschamp. What was supposed to be a top-tier defense, was treated like an episode of Oz against Oklahoma. (If you're not familiar with 90s HBO classic...look it up). The defense has improved since then, but is still pretty mediocre. Texas has some studs on defense and has potential to be phenomenal. I just think Texas prematurely shot their wad like a middle schooler getting his first hand jibber during an American Pie movie with the Diaz hire.

Mmm...shower time.

TCU Turkey 2012-Casey Pachall

Like you didn't see this one coming? Even though Ross Evans is somehow still the most disliked player among TCU fans, Casey "the Snowman", "Professor Chaos" Pachall didn't do himself any favors this year. It  seemed like another promising year for Chaos as he had the highest QB rating in the Big 12 at one point. He was perfect against Grambling, great against Kansas (minus the fumble), solid against Virginia, and even though he just looked "alright" against SMU, the weather was mostly to blame for that fiasco.

And though it probably snowed all summer for Mr. Chaos, winter came early this year for TCU as their hopes for a Big 12 title run ended in a McDonald's parking lot.

Now I'm loving Deuce Boogie and it's possible Pachall's impact could have only made the difference of being 7-3 or 8-2 versus 6-4, but who knows? Maybe we'd be 9-1 with a nail-biting loss to K-State.

A big gobble gobble for all of our winners!
