Brownie's Real Top Ten: Week Three
Bernard with a rough Lez and her hot life partner |
Brownie’s Real Top Ten
1. Alabama – Basically, they are gonna sit here until they give us reason to think otherwise. I hate them, and I hate Saban, but I’d be amiss to rank them any lower
2. USC – (See Above)
3. Oregon – They are gonna give up a few more points than I would have predicted to start the year, but that offense is scary. On top of that, De’Anthony Thomas is going to win the Heisman this year. I’m calling that right now.
4. LSU – They don’t have a quarterback.
5. Georgia – This is where we shake things up a little bit. Aaron Murray has Bernard with a rough Lez and her hot life partnerworked himself into the Heisman race early with a strong performance against a solid Mizzou team. Their defense is scary, and unlike in years past, this UGA team looks hungry to prove themselves to everyone and live up to their talent.
6. West Virginia – Despite the off week I think Geno still managed to throw for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns.
7. Michigan State – Notre Dame is overhyped every single season, but this will still be Sparty’s toughest test so far this year. This will be a good chance for Bell to cement himself as the Heisman favorite.
8. Florida State – Still waiting for them to prove themselves.
9. Oklahoma – They bounced back a bit, but I think they are a two or three loss team this year.
10. TCU – OK. Now I am not at all a homer, like Marshall, and I purposely kept the Frogs out of the rankings until I saw them play. I thought that before the arrests and departures of a few key players (Ed Wesley) then they were easily a top ten team and a top five offense. The loss of Wesley may have actually improved us in ways though, because now Waymon “Pringle can-dick” James is free to be a badass without sharing the spot light. We still have Matthew Tucker for goal line work, and we are free to break in our new speedster B.J. Catalon. Obviously I didn’t expect him to be perfect (seriously, he didn’t even get TOUCHED by Grambling), but Pachall was about exactly what I thought he would be. Josh Boyce will finish the year as a top 3 receiver. The special teams were the surprisingly great, as we may have found our new return specialist in Deante Gray. The big surprise to me was the Defense. I thought that even despite the losses on that side of the ball they would be solid, simply because Patterson will never let them be anything less. But they were as impressive, if not more impressive than the offense. I know it was Grambling State, but a shutout doesn’t happen by accident. Devonte Fields is already making a name for himself as the next stud in the long line of badass TCU defensive end products. KU won’t really be a challenge this week (knock on wood) so I look for UVA to present us with our first actual contest. I think it is pretty obvious that the Big 12 (10) made the right choice dumping the (f)aggies and Mizzou and picking up two top ten teams. The Big 12 (10) is loaded this year and to be totally honest, I don’t see the winning team coming out undefeated. It should be a pretty fun season all the way to the end.
P.S. TCU’s stadium may be the nicest in the country. Seriously, it’s fucking incredible.
