September Madness! The Greatest Television Shows of the Modern Era
Who says brackets are reserved for March? Ok...most people. But September is more or less the March Madness of television. Most shows, especially those on the major networks, are returning. We also have the Emmy's and as television becomes a more integral part of our meme-fied, Buzzfeed fueled lives...the Emmy's are becoming more significant.
So we thought it'd be fun to let you decide (from our field of 64) what the greatest television series of the modern era is.
Before you burn the house down here were our parameters for our choices:
- No show is included
that ended before 1990 (thus The Simpsons and Cheers make it)
- No mini-series or
reality show (Sorry no Band of Brothers or Survivor)
- No variety shows (SNL, Colbert, Daily Show, etc...)
- Sketch comedy shows are allowed (ie Chappelle's Show)
Each numbered seed contains two dramas and two comedies...
- For Example the Four
Seeds are, The West Wing, Walking Dead, Always
Sunny and Parks and Rec
Bracket Rules and Voting
- There Are Four Regionals
(Anna Kendrick, Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Mara, Rooney Mara)
- The tournament will end
next Sunday (9/29)
- You can vote once an hour (because
we know you're taking this very, very seriously)
- Dramas play Comedies in the First
Round
So Without Further Ado, The Round of 64...

I think based on your target demographic, putting Boy Meets World as a 16 seed is really unfair.
ReplyDeleteputting it up against the wire based on the target demographic makes it actually unfair for the wire. Boy Meets World probably will win out the first round purely on nostalgia
