YHTS Gameday Playlist
Yep. It's
that time again. Amongst the booze, cigarettes, great good and general drunken
debauchery, no tailgate is quite complete without a solid playlist. The YHTSers
put together some of the songs they love to tailgate to and then some. Also,
like Jackie Robinson's '42', we're motioning the universal
retirement of "Wagon Wheel". Every legend must have its end.
Brownie's Picks
- "Howlin'
For You", Black Keys
- "Roar",
Katy Perry
- "Marijuana
and Jalepenos", Rich O'Toole
- "Disco
Inferno", Fitty
Marsh's Picks
- "Roses",
Outkast: Play
anything off of ATLiens, no one bats an eye. Play anything
post Stankonia, everyone loses their minds. Hip-hop and
tailgates go together beautifully. As much as I enjoy.
- "KMAG YOYO", Hayes Carll: A story about
government spies, smuggling opium, and experimenting with LSD with
an amphetamine inspired rhythm? Sounds like a tailgating song to
me.
- "Ignition
(Remix), R. Kelly-Now usually I don't do this...but....
- "Jump
Around", House of Pain: I don't care which Big 10 school
loves this the most. Play this when you think your tailgate is at its
peak. And expect things to get broken.
- "The
Mother We Share", CHVRCHES: I'm sure anyone who knows me saw
this coming.
Blake's Picks:
- "I'm a King Bee", The Stone Foxes:Cover of an old
Slim Harpo blues number. This song will get you jazzed
- "Berzerk", Eminem:Chicks dig new
music. Plus, this track samples Billy Squier, so it pleases the old folks,
too. Heck, maybe 'The Stroke' would be even more fitting
- "The Stroke", Billy Squier: There's always
that guy at a party who hears a remix and says "Dude we gotta play
the original! It's way better!" That guy's a dick.
- "I Ain't Goin' Back To Jail", Project Pat: Stupid joke
Lena's Picks:
80's hair-metal is key. (Yes even Ozzy had a hair-metal phase)
- "Crazy Train", Ozz Ozbourne
- "Cum on Feel the Noize", Quiet Riot
- "Pour Some Sugar On Me", Def Leppard
Adam's Picks:
- "Here We Go", Pat Green
- "Rocky Top", The Osborne Brothers
- "Paradise City", Guns N' Roses
Travis' Picks
