MS MR, "Hurricanes":

MS MR (pronounced Miss Mister) is slowly starting to take the charts by storm with "Hurricane".  Puns aside, the song first appeared as a single while the two members were at Vassar College, but with an appearance on the band's debut EP in September and now with their full album, Secondhand Rapture out, "Hurricanes" is getting the play it deserves.

It feels like a darker version of "Sprawl II" with a dark 90s art rock twist. MS MR is easily one of the coolest bands to come out of 2013.

Avicii feat. Aloe Blacc , “Wake Me Up”:

With the Electronic music sub-genres of house and especially dubstep slowly starting to lose momentum,  Avicii is holding on strong and still putting out quality releases. In two or three years when the rave-wave is a thing of the past, people will still be intrigued by the Swedish prodigy. He proves why here.

Foxygen, "San Francisco"

Foxygen is straight throwback. If the music of Pavement went back in time, dropped acid and made a baby with The Kinks and Velvet Underground...you'd have Foxygen. This song could easily be passable as a song that was recorded in 1968.

50 Cent, "In Da Club"

I hate the "this will me you feel old" cop-out, but this jam is now ten years old. Reflect accordingly.
