Week 5 Recap: Tyler Press and Mandy Hate Us. :(

Marsh's Top Ten.

1. Alabama-They are still without a doubt the best team in the country, but they looked a little more human Saturday against Ole Miss.

2. Oregon-I don't see them losing right now. They are running through teams like they're a DG pledge class.

3. Georgia-It's gonna be a great cocktail party by the looks of things this year.

4. West Virginia-Geno and company were running up points like calories at the AD PI house Saturday afternoon. I'm also pretty sure Geno threw for more yards than any of those girls have walked all semester.

5. LSU-People blame TCU for looking sloppy all year. Our purple brothers from Baton Rouge are under performing just as much. They could lose one or two before they even play Bama if they aren't careful.

6. FSU-I'm still not that impressed. Their schedule is weaker than a 90 pound girl's tolerance for Ecstasy at a Skrillex concert.

When's it supposed to kick in?
7. Kansas State-The off week hurt them. They'll be moving on up like the goddamn Jeffersons after they play Kansas this week.

8. Notre Dame-Let's see how long before Turnover Tommy become Bend-over Tommy after the Irish play someone who isn't in the B1G.

9. South Carolina-I hope their game Saturday will be as good as hyped. But that happens to SEC games about as much as me or Sanfelippo bring someone home from the bar.

10. Florida-Will Will be Muschamp or Mus-chump? Yay for shitty jokes.

Heisman Projections

1. Geno Smith-Shouldn't really be a question right now.
2. Collin Klein-The winner of KSU-WV could very well be the deciding factor of the Heisman.
3. "The" Anthony Thomas-It's hard to tell right now if he's better than LaMichael James was, if he isn't, there's no way he should/will win.
4. Tavon Austin-Sadly there's no chance he will win, because his success is dependent on Geno's. But he's probably the most fun to watch of anyone in college football.
5. Kellen Moore-Wait he doesn't play anymore? Why's he always on the Boise sideline then? Nevermind I guess...

Brownie’s Real Top Ten

Unlike Santa, I come more than once a year. :)

 1. Bama -  They are losing playmakers left and right, and it is just a matter of time before that comes back to them.

 2. Oregon – They have gone SMU Sig Ep on everyone they have faced this year, no reason to think that will change

 3. FSU – I know Marsh hates them, but they are really good. E.J. Manuel doesn’t suck this year and their defense is going to shut down the rest of their very weak ACC schedule.

 4. LSU – they are a little overrated. Its just a matter of time until someone jumps them based on merit

 5. West Virginia – Where to begin here… They beat an overrated Baylor team by 7 in what will probably be the “Most Like NCAA Football 13” game of the year. They announced on national TV that they can’t even pretend to play defense. Their running game died with the departure of Noel Devine. That’s the bad. The good is that they proved what I’ve been saying all year: they are going to outscore every team they play this year. There couldn’t be a better example. They won this game by just being better at offense than Baylor. Geno is going to win the Heisman this year, barring some colossal fuck up on his part. Tavon Austin and Stedmon Bailey may be competing with each other for the Receiver of the year award. Realistically this is a two-loss team, at least. They can’t bank on doing this every weekend. But as of right now WVU proved that the best offense is a really, really good offense.'

 6. Kansas State – No reason to drop them from here this week.

 7. Georgia – they won the shootout with Tennessee, but it wasn’t easy. Tennessee can put up some points, but they are hardly as good as UGA made them look. UGA is overrated, and they are gonna take a tumble one of these days.

8Texas – They won on the road against a very tough, very underrated Okie State team (who sports the best running back in the league). UT proved to everyone that the rebuilding stage is over, and they are back to reloading. Jaxon Shipley isn’t his brother, but he is an almost spitting image. Bryan Harsin is an offensive guru (anyone who makes David Ash into a legitimate passing threat has to be a guru at worst). Ash is maybe the most efficient white QB in the country. The running game is loaded with speed. And the defense is a real force, that will struggle with Big 12 (10) offenses all year, but make plays when it has to. This team is legit- make no mistake. Texas is back

 9. South Carolina – the cocks look rock solid.

 10. Notre Dame – I’m just waiting for a reason to drop them down.

Brownie’s Heisman Race
1. Geno – Even on my best days on NCAA 13 I struggle to do what he did against Baylor. This cat can ball, and as far as I’m concerned it’s his race to lose.
2. Colin Klein – He makes K-State a contender; that alone puts him near the top.
3. De’Anthony Thomas – Reggie 2.0 is becoming more replaceable as more and more weapons emerge for Oregon. I look for him to have a big game this week and work his way back into the race.
4. E.J. Manuel – He’s dropping fast
5. Tavon Austin/Stedmon Bailey – either one could be made a case for, although ultimately it is clear that bot benefit from being thrown to by the 2012-13 Heisman winner.
