Week One Preview
It's hard not to argue that the two biggest games of opening weekend involve the Nation's two best Non-AQ teams, TCU and Boise State.
If Boise State wins, they have a very strong chance of winning out and thus a shot a National Title. Lose and kiss everything goodbye. And make room for the title talks for TCU.
TCU is in the same boat. Win Saturday and get past Utah later on and they will return to a BCS bowl and maybe even a shot at a National Title (if Boise loses).
If TCU and Boise both lose this weekend, consider my life to be over. If Boise loses and TCU wins I'd be happier than if I were banging Sloan from Entourage. If Boise wins and TCU loses...pick my dead body off of 35 when I jump off an overpass.
Nevertheless here are my predictions for this week's big games.
LSU and North Carolina
LSU-34, NC-17
Notre Dame and Purdue
The Brian Kelly era gets off to the right foot.
Notre Dame 31, Purdue 14
BYU and Washington
Locker proves he is the man who should win the Heisman, but barely skates by the Mormons.
BYU 17, Washington, 21
TCU and Oregon State
Frogs pull off solid "home" opener at Jerry's Wild World.
TCU 28, Oregon State 17
Boise State and Virginia Tech
Boise plays well, but can't pull off in DC were Hokie fans rage and watch their team upset America's redheaded step child.
BSU 21, V-Tech 24
