Winners and Losers of Week Three

Winners of Week Three

Geno Smith-Their defense may be about as good as my game at Capital Bar, but Geno and their offense is like Ryan Gosling walking into the DG. Scoring all tha damn day.

UCLA-What was supposed to be USC's great season, is now turning into UCLA's. Jonathan Franklin is now the top darkhorse for the Heisman and could easily be sitting up there with Geno and crosstown foe Matt Bark come December.

also...Oregon State-These guys may not win the PAC-12, but they will sure as hell make it much more interesting,

Losers of Week Three

In the style of Mark Schlabach, I'm gonna use an artist's songs and link them to the troubles of bad teams. This week I choose Hayes Carll.

B1G Schools...Again-It's a Shame-Wow. Considering most people now just complete disregard the Big East, this is the BCS' worst conference in my opinion. A lot of potential for greatness with all the storied programs. As Hayes said "It's a Shame...we could've been something so big and great".  But somewhere down the line they missed out on new trends in CFB and as a result are suffering.

USC-KMAG YOYO-An acronym meaning "Kiss My Ass Guys, You're on Your Own" and probably what Matt Barkley should've told USC at the end of last season now that both his Heisman and National Championship hopes are very slim.

Ole Miss Secondary-Grateful for Christmas-The way their defense played Saturday in Oxford, The Rebs will be lucky to play in bowl. It's only September but that's already top spot on their Christmas list. As well as coal for the rest of the SEC.

Arkansas-Bad Liver and a Broken Heart-The first lines of the song go "Arkansas, my head hurts/I'd love to stick around and maybe make it worse". It seems everyone in Arkansas will be drinking themselves to death after would could have been a very promising year.  They lost their coach to younger woman and lost one of the more shocking upsets in recent memory. As Hayes says "It's times like these that keep my crying". Arkansas is definitely in tears.

Marshall Weber-Hide Me-I got killed on my picking last week. What an embarrassing feeling. I picked Ole Miss just to stir up some chaos, but I really believed in BYU and USC to take care of business.
