HAIM

A$AP Ferg, "Hood Pope"-He may not have quite the talent or star power of fellow ASAP Mob member, A$AP Rocky, but Ferg's on the brink of a major breakout himself. What makes the members of the ASAP Mob so great is the eclectic and wide range of hip hop they put out. Despite being from Harlem, they're heavily influenced by DJ Screw, Z-Ro and the rest of the Houston greats and it shows on this track.

Foals, "My Number"-This song's almost half a year old, but started to get popular around mid-April. If you haven't heard this song from one of England's best new bands...do it.

HAIM, "The Wire"-The three-piece sister act from the San Fernando Valley continues to impress. Heavily influenced by Van Morrison and The Band, Haim's diverse sound is Grizzly Bear meets TLC. The release of their debut album is still TBD but it should be out some time in early 2014 after they finish their tour.

**Update**-HAIM just announced their album, Days Are Gone, will be out September 30th.

CHVRCHES, "GUN"-This was on my summer jams list....I know. But, if I give one birthday present to myself, it will be getting to write something about my favorite band. Even if it's this dribble right now. Seriously though...this song is amazing.
